Professor Zheng Cui had his Ph.D. in 1988 and worked in the UK for 20 years, first at Cambridge University and then at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. In 2009, he returned to China to set up the first research center dedicated to printed electronics R&D. The Center has established research themes from electronic ink formulation to printing process development with applications including printed solar cells, printed thin-film transistors, printed organic light emission, and printed flexible/stretchable/wearable electronics. He has authored and coauthored over 250 technical publications, 8 books, and over 70 patents. Some of the developed technologies have been transferred to the industry.
