Sustainability—Something Old Something New and Something Borrowed to Make Something Green

9:30 am - 9:45 am

Something old, something new and something borrowed to make something green. This will be a short excursion to start to explore the manufacturing toolbox that includes films, foils, fabric, adhesives, additives, inks, automated process, low temp curing, soft tooling to enable solutions that better support the sustainability models needed for tomorrow’s FHE products.

In addition to price and performance, many customers want the assurance that their new products reflect their positive corporate citizenship. We will look at some ideas on how we marry new ideas, materials, and intelligent capital investment with reimagined processes and technical collaborations to “Design for Eco Excellence’. This is achieved by shrinking the BoMs, eliminating process steps, lowering process temperatures, and easing End of Life management while delivering innovative solutions in Flexible Hybrid Electronics. Specific application areas:

Specific application areas:

  • Copper polyester laminates for Ultra Low-Temperature Reflow
  • Hybrid Flexible Hybrid Electronics
  • Medical Wearables Printed on Fabrics
  • Soft Tooling for High-Performance Circuitry for Electrical Vehicles
