Avia Bar

My name is Avia Bar. I am originally from Israel and I currently live in Boston, MA. I am a PhD student & Research Assistance (RA) at UMass Lowell. My research is developing a novel stretchable electronic component, as well as, characterize and modeling its mechanical behavior. Besides my thesis's work, I am working on a variety of projects as part of my RA position, which exposes me to a variety of subjects in the plastics/polymer industry. One of the projects focuses especially on the development of new (protective coating) formulas and process optimization. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading up on game theory, and practice programming in python.
