Postdoctoral Fellow University of California, San Diego
Moran Amit is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California San Diego in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Her current research in Prof. Tse Nga (Tina) Nga's lab focuses on biomedical and environmental sensor systems, exploiting her multidisciplinary background in materials and electrical engineering for the development of flexible, wearable devices for point-of-use objective assessments. She started her academic career in the department of materials engineering at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, were she received her B.Sc., M.Sc., and PhD degrees. Among her recent publications are Point-of-use robotic sensors for simultaneous pressure detection and chemical analysis (Mater. Horizons 2019, 6, 604), Flexible Pressure Sensors for Objective Assessment of Motor Disorders (Adv. Funct. Mater. 2019, 1905241), An Objective System for Quantifying the Effect of Cognitive Load on Movement in Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (9th International IEEE/EMBS Conference on Neural Engineering 2019, 1042), and Artifacts Mitigation in Sensors for Spasticity Assessment (Adv. Intell. Syst. 2020, 2000106).
