Robert Hopkins

Emmy winner, Dr. Robert Hopkins is a principal at Bayflex Solutions and in this capacity, chairs several standardization committees in FHE testing. Previously, he was a consultant for Yuasa Systems Co Ltd, Panasonic, and others. A former senior executive at Sony and RCA. During his tenure at ATSC he played a key role in the development of the ATSC Digital Television Standard, the digital broadcasting standard that was adopted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for use in the United States. He was a pioneer in digital video engineering. He has extensive experience with technical standards development at SMPTE, ITU, and the ATSC.
